5 Stocks Making Cash
23.09.09

Had Jerry Maguire been an investor instead of a fictional sports agent, he might have become famous for yelling, “Show me the cash flow!”

Earnings come and go, and the green-eyeshade types can legally manipulate them to mask a company’s true operations. Yet its ability to generate cash — what comes in the register and goes out the door — remains the preeminent indicator of company’s worth. In short, cash is king.

Below, we’ll look at companies that have proven themselves prodigious generators of free cash flow (FCF) — the amount of money a company has left over that it could potentially pay to its investors. We’ll find companies that have generated compounded free-cash-flow growth rates exceeding 25% annually over the past five years, then pair them with the opinions of the more than 140,000 members of the Motley Fool CAPS investor intelligence community to see which ones might have the best chance of outperforming the market.

Throughout the beginning of the market’s collapse, the gaming industry was seen as virtually recession-proof. When times are tough, people are still going to want some form of entertainment, and the extended value that a video game offers is attractive, particularly when compared to other forms of discretionary spending.

Of course, what we’ve found out since then shows that not even the most ambidextrous, Monster-drinking, agoraphobic die-hard gamer can keep up the pace necessary to prop up the industry. Sales of video games began a five-month skid in February that was extended for yet a sixth month in August. Year-to-date sales are off 14%, meaning the industry needs to have a significant growth spurt for the balance of the year just to get even with last year’s results.

Outbreak
Outbreak (1995)

IMDB rating: 6.40

Plot: A virus similar to Ebola & Lassa is discovered in Africa in 1969. 25 years later, it resurfaces – and Col. Sam Daniels of the U.S. Army is sent in to investigate it. When he returns he warns his boss, Brigadier-Gen. Ford, of the lethal nature of the virus and wants to put out an alert. Ford, who had been one of the men who first dealt with the virus, insists the virus is contained and unlikely to show up in the U.S. What neither man knows is that the host – a monkey – has been brought into the U.S. by freighter. Through an under-the-table bribe, a young man gets the monkey out of the animal-testing lab it was bound for. Soon, the man is infected – and Col. Daniels’ ex-wife, Dr. Keough – now with the CDC – is called into Boston when the young man is brought to a hospital in critical condition. Dr. Keough discovers that the man has died from the virus, and at the same time – on the other side of the country – a new outbreak is starting in a little California town. A quarantine is set up to stop the virus from spreading, while Ford’s boss, the sinister Major-Gen. McClintock, has his own agenda in mind – to harness this lethal bug for use as a bioweapon. With the President about to order a fuel-air bomb to be dropped on the little town to stop the outbreak, Daniels must find a way to unravel McClintock’s sinister plan…

Is Cisco Systems a great investment this month (Feb & Mar 2010)?
I’ve been following world financial news very closely for the past several months and was wondering if Cisco Systems (CSCO) is one of the solid stocks to buy right now, considering their recent outbreak. It seems like they’ll be at the forefront of the approaching economic surge coming out of the recession. Thoughts?

Movement of stocks depends on quarterly results and general market sentiment.

Intel and Microsoft also had great quarterly numbers, but have sold off. This shows the market sentiment is a downward direction. Cisco right now would be great if you have the patience to hold on to it for 2-3 years. This stock could easily drop 20% from here due to the broader market, can you handle a 20% loss in a week?

If you buy it, hope you got the stomach for an interesting ride.

Why don't they ever show a pussy in movies? I see graphic male full frontal constantly now.?
I am sick of females complaining about not showing male nudity and always showing female nudity. I rarely see female nudity anymore and have NEVER seen a pussy graphically shown. I see dicks all the time. Even on FX, HBO and Showtime I see constant male full frontal nudity in many, many shows. Nip Tuck never shows a naked female yet always shows male nudity throughout every show. On HBO, Tell Me You Love Me shows male full frontal always and even showed a girl giving a guy a hand job and showed him cum in a very graphic scene.

Popular mainstream movies like Borat, 28 days Later, Into the Wild, The Last King of Scotland, all the Jackass movies, Kinsey, Shadowboxer, Boogie Nights, Euro Trip, Walk Hard- The Dewey Cox Story all show male full frontal. Forgetting Sarah Marshall and the new Harold and Kumar movie show constant graphic full frontal male nudity. Why do these movies get an R-rating when you show a dick, but you can’t show pussy. Don’t compare a breast to a penis.
This was in response to 3 female questions about why movies never show Male nudity.

you sound very upset about this.

If you’re that desperate for pussy, i suggest you go watch some porn.

I want to watch what ever your watching. I haven’t seen any Penis shots. I see silhouettes or hands over them but, never the actual thing. I have only seen one movie that showed and it wasn’t a real one. Boogie Nights. I see more women parts in movies.

Dude, chill out. Have a cigarette. Watch Basic Instinct and just relax. (It shows sharon Stone’s bits and pieces, but you could still argue that they never show female anatomy. She’s more like a preying mantis…)

Couldnt have said it better myself.
There seems to be some bias going on.
Even the news channels like cnn international used to show male nudity back in the 90s.
i dont know whats going and its quite disturbing to say the least. i was appalled when i saw it in 28 days later and also in the movies you mentioned. its blatanly shown for the whole world to see.lol yet when show girls showed alot of boobs it was given the MA 17.
one would assume a bleeding heart feminist is in charge of the censoring board.
Alot of people arent bothered by this troubling trend but they need to realise that censorship is important no matter the gender.

Oh my gosh; I can’t believe someone is ranting about this. It’s such an odd thing to rant about considering there are plenty of porn movies available for you to see as much of that as you want.

Having said that, I happen to know of one movie that quite graphically shows female full-frontal nudity: Showgirls (1995). I’m assuming you’ve seen it aleady though, considering it’s been out for several years and you have such a fixation on being able to see such things.

The English have always made smuty references to this unmentionable organ -:

The bond films had ‘pussy galore’ – ‘come lately ‘ and ‘miss funny fanny’.

Plus a smuty females in a soup called coronation street keep mentioning streaky bacon and sow’s loin meat.

Then there is ‘little britain’ who’s characters are completely obsessed with the ‘ furry cup ‘.

Maybe this ‘ lip service ‘ used by the characters is the universal language of the imagination. We, the viewers, only have to fill in the rest with our own imagination.

They don’t show dicks in movies, I have seen a lot of movies and I yet to see one penis in it. All i ever see is womens ass and breasts so i don’t know what type of garbage your watching but maybe your watching soft porn and you don’t realize it. I will compare breasts to a dick cos its the same thing breasts are a private area just like a vagina is , vagina, breasts-woman privates, dicks, man-private.
