internal stitch from almost 2 months ago possibly not dissolved and coming out?
I had a laceration on my hand that required 21 stitches to patch up. 14 were regular stitches, 4 were cushion stitches or pillow stitches, and 3 were internal. I was told the internal ones dissolve in about a month. It has been at least 6 weeks, I think more like 7, and I had just pulled either a whole stitch or part of a stitch out last night. It healed up great, no infection, doctor told me i was doing a perfect job at tending to it and keeping it covered. I noticed some dry skin around the end that was the deepest at the edge of the scar, and was pulling off dead skin, when to my suprise I found that the one piece of dead skin had something attatched to it. Only after getting it out and gawking at it did i realize it was one of the internal stitches, because it was white and wet. I’ve been having pain around the scar the past week or so… I know I cut deep, cuz i nicked an artery and cut through some nerves, so i assumed the pain was due to that… but after pulling that first stitch out, I noticed there might be a small white speck at the center of the most painful spot, which is also at the deepest end where the internal stitches were used, and I think that there might be another undissolved stitch there that my body is rejecting. I had 2 plates and 13 screws about 2 years ago in my right arm, and they had to come out about 6 months after they were put in because my body was rejecting the hardware. After getting it out, the doctor was suprised to find the one plate was actually broken in half, and a screw was embedded in the bone. I dont know if this is relevant but I figured i’d mention it to be safe. Anyway, has anybody else ever had a problem like with internal stitches not dissolving in a month’s time and then having your skin literally push them out? because i think that is what is happening with this other site of pain along my scar. the small white speck that i believe to be the end of a stitch isn’t close enough to the surface to pull it out with a tweezers yet (i’ve tried, and won’t dig my skin open to find out because that would hurt more than it hurts if i leave it be). I know nothing terrible is going to happen, but i just never heard of anything like this and would feel better if i knew it wasn’t unheard of. The first stitch that came out yesterday really shocked me, and it did kinda fall apart then after i pulled it out of my hand, but I would feel better knowing that this second spot is just a stitch coming out, as it isn’t the burning pain of nerves regrowing, and is actually quite a painful little bugger. Going back to the doctor isn’t an option, I have no health insurance… and honestly, other than giving me an answer, a doctor couldn’t be of any real help. they wouldn’t cut it out of my hand, as i know skin can rid itsself of foreign objects like this on its own, and it would be more work to cut out then to let it be pushed out. Any advice or similar stories, or even just a confirmation that this isn’t a freak occurance would be welcomed. thanks!

I just had a doctor pull one out that was sticking out of my stomach. The surgery that I had was about 5 years ago…lol. I also have another one under the skin that you can see. As long as it isn’t red, swollen, or warm I wouldn’t worry about it.

The radicalised children of the Nazi generation lead by Andreas Baader, Ulrike Meinhof and Gudrun Ensslin are fighting a violent war against what they perceive as the new face of fascism: American imperialism supported by the German establishment, many of whom have a Nazi past. Their aim is to create a more human society but by employing inhuman means they not only spread terror and bloodshed, they also lose their own humanity. The man who understands them is also their hunter: the head of the German police force Horst Herold. And while he succeeds in his relentless pursuit of the young terrorists, he knows he’s only dealing with the tip of the iceberg.

Little April was not the best student in Sunday school.
Usually she slept through the class.

One day the teacher called on her while she was napping, "Tell me, April, who created the universe?"

When April didn’t stir, little Johnny, a boy seated in the chair behind her, took a pin and jabbed her in the rear. "GOD ALMIGHTY!" shouted April and the teacher said, "Very good" and April fell back asleep.

A while later the teacher asked April, "Who is our Lord and Saviour," But, April didn’t even stir from her slumber. Once again, Johnny came to the rescue and stuck her again. ‘JESUS CHRIST!" shouted April and the teacher said, "very good," and April fell back to sleep.

Then the teacher asked April a third question. "What did Eve say to Adam after she had her twenty-third child?" And again, Johnny jabbed her with the pin. This time April jumped up and shouted, "IF YOU STICK THAT F*****G THING IN ME ONE MORE TIME, I’LL BREAK IT IN HALF AND STICK IT UP YOUR ****!"

A little girl runs out to the backyard where her father is working, and asks him, "Daddy, what’s sex?"

Her father sits her down, and tells her all about the birds and the bees. He tells her about conception, sexual intercourse, sperms and eggs. He goes on to tell her about puberty, menstruation, erections, wet-dreams…and he thinks, what the hell, and goes on to tell her the works. He covers a wide and varied assortment of sub topics and by the time he’s finished, his daughter is somewhat awestruck with this sudden influx of bizarre new knowledge. Her father finally asks: "So what did you want to know about sex for?"

"Oh, mommy said to tell you lunch would be ready in a couple
of secs…"

a couple cant have children. they’ve been praying to have one, but they never did… until one day came the best day of their lives. the woman was pregnant. 9 months later, the baby was born, a beautiful baby girl. so the years passed, 3 years exactly, and the girl hadn’t said a single word. until one day she said: grandpa!
next day, the grandpa dies
next year, the baby said: grandma!
next week, grandma dies.
so the father was very frustrated. he told his wife: honey, i think i should get ready. our baby will say dad soon enough, and i will die. so they got ready and all that stuff, and then a month later the baby girl says: dada!
and so… next morning while checking the mail, they found the mailman dead across the pavement of their house.

It was a really hot day and this blonde decided she would go buy a coke. She went to the coke machine and when she put her money in, a coke came out – so she kept putting money in.
And since it was such a hot day, a line had formed behind her. Finally, a guy on line said, "Will you hurry up? We’re all hot and thirsty!"
And the blonde said, "No way. I’m still winning!

One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to
take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the
boat out. She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book.

Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and
says, ‘Good morning, Ma’am. What are you doing?’ ‘Reading a
book,’ she replies, (thinking, ‘Isn’t that obvious?’)

‘You’re in a Restricted Fishing Area,’ he informs her.
‘I’m sorry, officer, but I’m not fishing. I’m reading’

Is the Mona Lisa Really a portrait of J.D. Salinger?
Recently the Web has been abuzz with this strange theory….With the recent death of the reclusive author……the bizarre theory has come to light that Leonardo Da Vinci had intentionally painted the future author as one of his most Famous Masterpieces….the Mona Lisa!!!! Apparently It is suggested that Leonardo Da Vinci was the true author of Salinger’s most famous book The Catcher in the Rye…and that this conspiracy has through the ages been passed down and guarded by a secret group of Freemasons and Lone Nut Assassins….It is this reason so many Lone Nut assassins have been found to be carrying the book when captured after assassinating their prospective targets….i.e. Mark David Chapman…..John Hinkley……Mel Gibson in that movie where he was a Lone Nut Assassin…etc. Why the ancient order of Freemasons would entrust such a dangerous secret to a strange group of people as ‘Lone Nut Assassins’ has never been fully explained….however it has been suggested that it has something to do with the MK Ultra Country Club and Time Share so many Lone Nuts seem to be a member of. Of course this is a bit of a digression…..to get back to the main point it is suggested that Leonardo Da Vinci….(who as revealed in a classic episode of Star Trek is actually an Immortal) had in relatively recent years painted a portrait of J.D. Salinger…and had somehow taken that portrait through time to give it to his younger self as a gift. No one is sure how he made such an interesting trip through time, but it has been suggested that Star Trek technology was used somehow….possibly involving Mark Twain and Cmdr Data. Of course the one Loose end in all of this is why J.D. Salinger has been painted as a woman….suggestions include…."He isn’t TRYING to look like a woman….he is just extremely effeminate. quite the poof actually" and also that " J.D. Salinger WAS a woman…..when is the last time you saw him….yeah he was actually a woman…everybody just forgot that fact".,,,and finally it has been suggested that time travel itself may have an effect on the gender of non organic substances……it is for this reason that in the Terminator Movies….the Terminators always had to travel back in time naked. Said Professor Irving Smechienhein "Had the terminators actually traveled through the space time vortex while wearing clothing…due to a problem involving the nature of quantum flux, their clothing would have been reduced to nothing but a probability field….a probability field which when collapsed would have changed the actual gender of the clothing involved, Arnold, who might have left point A wearing a flannel shirt, and a pair of man jeans….you know the kind with like extra pockets and such…and a loop that you can stick a hammer in….would have came out at point B wearing a petticoat, long white gloves a white umbrella, and nice little pink dress"….Of course this Idea is controversial…..For instance another Professor…this time Harvard Graduate, P.K. Ninnybottom writer of the celebrated paper which proved Fermat’s 4th theorem had this to say about the controversial Idea. "its stupid"……
So what do you all think? Did Leonardo Da Vinci REALLY paint a portrait of J.D. Salinger???

I recently saw on the news that da Vinci’s body will be exhumed in order to determine whether or not the Mona Lisa is a self-portrait of da Vinci as a woman.
It is there in Arthur’s glory years and in his decline, brought on by the love affair between his wife Guenevere and best friend and best knight Sir Lancelot, the Holy Grail Quest which produces many casualties among the knights, and the arrival of Mordred, the son Arthur had by his evil half-sister, the sorceress Morgana. Through it all, the magician Merlin watches over everything, always ready to throw in a Charm of Making when it’s called for.

Vegas Hotels, LasVegasDirect.com, and vegas weather in Dec?
1-) These are the hotels I’m looking at. Anyone have any suggestions, have you stayed at any? I’m looking for a hotel that has some things to do on site, but I won’t be spending a lot of time in the room. I’m 22, going with my 23 year old husband and his parents (48 &49) who like to gamble. I’m more interested in shows and rides.
Sahara
Luxor
Excalibur
MGM Grand
Vdara (By Bellagio)
Caesar’s Palace

2) Why is Caesar’s Palace such a popular hotel? What does it have to offer?

3) Has anyone ever used www.LasVegasDirect.com? Can you please tell me if it is reliable or not. It has a link to the BBB (better business bureau), so that means it HAS to be legitimate, right?

4) We will be in Vegas either the second or third week in December. How is the wether, can you still swim in pools, are attractions shut down (rides)?

5) Does anyone know of any ‘vegas packages’ (NOT plane and hotel) that are a value pack for shows, attractions, etc?

Thank you so much, I greatly appreciate it!

Never heard of that site. Go to the BBB site and check them out. Just because they have link to it doesn’t mean they have a good rating. Always check them out before giving them your hard earned money.

Eliminate the Sahara ( in the middle of nowhere at the north end of the strip ). Luxor is very tricky in there resort fees and one of the highest on the strip. Excalibur has a good location and the worst buffet in Las Vegas. MGM still one of the best but it is so large you have to make sure you figure in the time just to get out of the place if going to a show. Vdara is new and know nothing about it. Caesars is one of the oldest properties on the strip and still one of the classiest and best. Their Forum shops is something you just have to see to believe.

That week you are looking at is winter here and temps will be in the 50’s during the day and in the low 40’s at night. Not swimming weather.
