Question for mothers of boys?
My 4 1/2 year old son is awesome. He is a very quick learner and is great about organizing his room and keeping his toys in working order (has honestly never broken a toy) I have some questions I am hoping hat more experienced moms can help me out with (this is my first child. I have ALL girls in the family and I know that part of this is just because he is a boy, hence the reason that I would like help from mothers of boys =) )

1. His teacher talked to us yesterday (First time ever and he has been in school for 2 years) about his not listening to her when she asked him to sit/calm down during story time. We’ve noticed the same thing at home lately and am not sure what to do. He is very active so my husband and I are sure to do activities with him everyday to get all that energy out (hikes, bike rides, etc.) Last night I sat with him and talked to him about how it was distracting to his teacher when he acted like this and if he kept it up he would be going on more time outs at school. He has always been an active boy and has never really been able to sit and concentrate on one thing for too long. I’ve never allowed him to watch too much TV and even when I do let him he can never sit through a whole movie. (and no- we do not give him a lot of sugar. He never drinks soda andhardlyy ever has candy or sweets…)

2. One of the qualities that I just LOVE about my son is that he always wants to make people laugh. But, it comes with a price. I havecaughtt him pulling down his pants (in front of girls!) to make them laugh, or doing other veryinappropriatee things like that and when asked why he says he does it to make them laugh. My husband and I explain that its not ok, but he has done it like 3 times now! Please help!

3. Another thing that isn’t that big of a deal, but I would like advice on ties in with #1. He doesn’t like to draw or color or paint… When I pick him up from school the other kids will come with huge papers covered in paint. His always has three straight lines. ‘Their snakes’ he’ll say… Even when we sit to color with him he will be talking the whole time instead of coloring. I am nowafraidd that he is falling behind on his motor skills…

Please help with what ever you can Moms!

THANKS!!!

Stop being sexist. What does any of this have to do with him being a boy?
lundegaard_2 | Feb 04, 2010

Well I have a 6 year old and when I ask him to do something, I then (and usually always) have to say. I’ve just asked you to do something, now I’m going to count to 5 and I expect you to do it. This works well. His teacher should come up with her own method, see if this works for you and pass it on to her if it does.

You could try explaining that people don’t pull their pants down and it can upset some people, so it’s not really funny. Ask him to think of something else he can do that would be funny.

Don’t worry about drawing, maybe construction is more his thing. All little boys love making junk models with reels of sellotape and string. Tying string, cutting and making sellotape stick will help his fine motor skills. As will small lego or meccano sets.

he is being a typical boy of his age .
sounds as if he is disinterested in what he is being taught at school maybe he needs a bigger Challenge maybe constructing something where he uses his mind to figure out things or something like that that’s grabs his attention.
but of course he has to learn the basics so you have to hang on in there and keep at it
whyme | Feb 04, 2010

He’s a boy, lol, thats all I can say. My son, also very active, is now 6 and in 1st grade but in pre-K he couldnt sit still, and up until this year didnt like to draw. He wanted to run, jump and climb. Your child has only been alive for 4 1/2 years. He is still so young and wnats to have fun and its not easy for a kid that age to sit still listening to a teacher talk about letters and if coloring isnt his thing, he wont want to put forth much effort. I guess you can say my son used to make a lto of "snakes" too lol but that has also changed and he is an excellent listener now, no trouble, ever!
You are doing the right thing by providing him with a lot of active time and also explaining to hi what is expected of him at school but being the young boy he is, that will take time. He will continue to be put in time out and one day that will sink in. And he will mature and adjust to the rules. Praising him when he is a good listener is a wonderful way to emphasize how important it is to cooperate. Dont wait until he messes up to mention his behavior.
I dont think there is a whole lot you can do besides this(what your already doing anyway). I dont think he has adhd or anything like that but then again I never met him. But I did think my son was overactive but he simply was an active, happy kid! Give it time. I dont think this will follow himthrough life if you stick with the re-enforcements.
Funny, my daughter was never this way. She seemed to carry on adult like conversations at 3yo. Never had to be talked to about not listening and was always very focused so yes, I think its a boy thing,.lol

ADD:I agree with the contruction idea. My son loves to build and troubleshoot

all childern are diffrent hun try not to worry im sure he will be fine i have 3 boys aged 4 yrs and 5 yrs and 6 yrs and my 5yr old wont seem to take much leaning in whereas my 4yr old wants to sit and learn but seriously try not to worry as he is extremelly good with other things it could be that your son just dont like to colour in at all or draw pictures his behaviour tho seems so normal to me also iv caught my boys doing things like your son has as much as you dont like it he maybe doing it to get a little attention as in seeing how far he can push his luck i learnt just by simply ignoring it as best i could although we did tell our boys its naughty to do this i hope this helps you im sure your son will be just fine take care and try not to worry xx

Is this a good introduction to a book?
Hello my name is Chandler and i’m 15, I am writing a book about the end of the world, I wanted to know if this was a "catchy" introduction to a story, does it make you want to read more? Or is it just plain boring. The reason I want to know this is, if i wrote the whole book this way and its boring, nobody will read it, but if its catchy, it might catch the eye of a publisher.

*The world on it’s deathbead*

There was allot of shouting going on in the streets that day. Cars began to con-jest and honk loudly at one another. The wind began to slow its whisp and the streets were lit bright with a glare. The masses were praying for mercy at the great circular light in the horizon, indeed they all feared for our lives. We simply stared in dis belief as the clouds began to part into smoke rings that moved outward. A gust of wind caught my side as I walked along heading back to my apartment. My eyes ever so often caught a glance of the mass happening, but I dismissed it all so that I would remain calm in my final minutes of life. The crowd stood motionless, silently waiting as the light grew nearer. I couldent help but notice all of these people showed no emotion at all, they gazed quietly knowing this was most certainly the end. The wind then died down and a sudden silence fell upon us. I watched as the light grew brighter and brighter from off to the ocean. The sky began to wrinkle and rip as if it were a painted canvas. There was a prominate humming noise rang through the streets like an approaching train. Maple leaves fluttered from the trees and snapped past us signaling that the wind was picking back up I then picked up my pace to a full run as I darted around randomly parked cars in the streets. My eyes were sent up above me to see the moon, it was a dark ring in the blareing white sky. People began to shout as the air grew hot and shadows shot past us darkening. My attention was directed to the sound of classical music which was being played from the open door of someones car. There shouting was silenced as masses of glass shattered from the skyscrapers and fell to them. Shockwaves of dust roared down the streets like a hoard of rampaging bulls. The dark escence of death began to flood around me. While darting across the street, I looked behind to see that the whole sky lit up to the flareing britness of the sun. I then rushed to the shadow behind a local bank, while doing so I felt the heat and air pressure rise to an unworldly amount. My hands were sent over my ears as they began to pop. I shielded my whole face hiding in this dark oasis of shade. Then, all pressure, heat and sound stopped, my squinted eye caught a glance of tiny lines of smoke that trailed from every object and eventually curved into the direction of the bright light. Then, my resting place, the shadow of a bank grew pitch black as opposed to the white asphalt and surrounding sky scrapers. The smoke reversed directions and my vision began to fade out. I realized that this was the end for me, my life was no more. Something had happened to the world that was truly evil, something that nobody expected. I began to realize that everyone on the beaches must have been either burt to death, or crushed by the extreme air pressure. Even in this darkened shadow, my skin felt as if it were melting which was probibly true. What seemed like hours were only a few seconds of light and the sound of humming. My mind raced with possibilities of what was going on, I pondered the thought I was the last living being in this city, or perhaps the world. The pain soon grew to enormous to think, the heat was unbearable and I knew that this was where I would have to give up. Instantly, my brain activity ended as if I were falling asleep and that was the last thing I remember from the world I had known for so long.

While our old wold had come to an end, a new world…. had just been born.
Please note this inst the final version, spelling and punctuation arent corrected.

A little confusing. Only so many descriptive sentences should be used and I think you used to many. Work on spelling too. Get an editor or someone good with writing who you trust to help you. I think there is hope for it.
Mbjhhjk | Feb 03, 2010

"…but if its catchy, it might catch the eye of a publisher."

– It doesn’t work like that. You need more than a catchy opening, you need superb writing. Your work is laced with spelling and grammar errors to the point that no publisher will take you seriously. Unfortunately, the bad writing kills it for me. It’s good for your age, but work on your writing, especially the basics like spelling and grammar, and even sentence structure. Don’t worry about publishing, just write for fun. I stopped reading somewhere near the end because I couldn’t continue to take the English language being botched this badly. No offense, and you can get angry with what I’ve written, but being angry doesn’t improve your writing. Keep trying and you’ll get better over time. Just forget about publishing until you drastically improve; it takes years of writing before you start writing quality stuff. Good luck.

One more thing, if it was better written then it would’ve caught my attention.
Joss | Feb 03, 2010

It’s a good start!

I think you have a knack for using imagery, which is definitely a key component of writing a good story. Also, the harried pace of the writing helps involve the reader in the scene.

On the other hand, however, the previous poster is right. You should definitely work closely with an editor on this, because there are a lot of misspellings and mechanical errors. You will definitely need to break this up into paragraphs as well, because reading it as one block of text can get confusing. If you are serious about being published, you will want to submit a sparkling manuscript, as free of errors as possible. (Although, at 15, I would say practice writing more before you consider publishing. For writing, just like any other pursuit, practice is the best way to grow and improve.)

Also, when you use imagery you still need to be thoughtful of its implications. Although the language is figurative, it still needs to portray a believable image that makes sense. One example: "My hands were sent over my ears as they began to pop." My first thought was to ask who sent your hands over your ears? It just doesn’t really make sense. You may consider saying something more like, "I threw my hands to my ears just as they began to pop." or "Instinctively, my hands shot up to my ears…"

I hope this helped! I wish you luck in the writing process :) Don’t give up, and practice makes perfect!

I think your idea to write a book is ambitious.

Let me mention your strong points first, and then offer a critique with a few suggestions.

You have a vivid imagination and a good vocabulary, as well as some ability with words.

You need to develop that ability if you want to be a writer. To become a published writer will take a lot of work over time. And I mean a number of years. Malcolm Gladwell in his book "Outliers: The Story of Success," based on thorough research, has pointed out that it takes about ten years, or 10,000 hours, of practice to become a master at writing or piano or a sport, and so on.

Publishers look at specific things in reading usually the first paragraph or so of a novel (I take it you are considering writing a novel) to decide whether to read on or reject it.

Let’s pretend I had written your long paragraph above. Then I put it away for a few weeks then went back to it and re-read my writing. What would I do?

Well, I would decide that not to many people would want to read my long paragraph, so I would break it up into 7-10 smaller ones.

I would notice my spelling errors (this is a super-quick turnoff for publishers) and run my programs spell check and correct the errors.

I would go over my writing, line for line, noting my word choices–do they really say what I mean them to say?–and my punctuation.

I would dramatize things more, get another character or characters in there, with some dialogue: "Hey, what’s happening. where are you going? Wait!" Something like that. Make it less narration, more scene. I would compare it to published, best-selling novels, for style and structure.

"The reason I want to know this is, if i wrote the whole book this way and its boring, nobody will read it, but if its catchy, it might catch the eye of a publisher." It takes a lot more than catchiness to win over a publisher. This book, written by a very successful agent, goes over most of what publishers are looking for: "Writing the Breakout Novel" bu Donald Maass…

http://www.amazon.com/Writing-Breakout-N ovel-Donald-Maass/dp/158297182X/ref=sr_1 _1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=126522532 0&sr=8-1

If you’re serious about being a writer, spend a few years learning your craft and developing your abilities.

Help. Deep connection wtih married man at work. In love, not having s.x?
I’m a 26yr old woman. I started working in an office 3 months ago. I’ve developed a deep friendship with a married man here. He got married only 6 months ago. His third baby on the way and a two year old and a three year old with wife. and a five yr old with ex wife. The thing is, hes so exotic. He thinks differently. Hes 31 years and we have had lots of ‘cosy’ chats. We go to lunch together, we have even gone on some evening drinking sessions in pubs with roasting fires when his wifes away. We have never done anything pysical. I wouldnt go the whole way as hes married. We are at a real crossroads. He wants me and i reallllly want him. We are so comfortable we discuss this. We are constantly texting. He even bought me a whole Joe Malone Giftset for my birthday, very expensive gift and he doesnt earn much money. It breaks my heart when the wife comes in here sometimes, its like a kick in my stomach. He says he really wants to be with me but feels so trapped by family life. I know he probably will never be mine, but the connection is very real and strong for both of us. We are now going away for a night together this weekend.Yet again, i’m not having s.x with him, and he doesnt want to with me. Yet its so intense, a brush of his skin sends shockwaves through me. We just talk abuot everything. He suffers from depression and anxiety, and so do i. His wife knows nothing about this, he cannot discuss it,she doesnt understand him. Please help me. We both feel so in love. He said he has never felt this intensity before. I stress, there is no s.x so no abuse please. We have not cheated and i will never have that psycicality wtih him, its purely emotional, deep, its not about s.x although we both discussed that we think about each other in this way.

You are very creative.

INTERNET NICE MACHINE I | Feb 03, 2010

what i find rather funny, is that you refer to you and him as a "we", as if there were really a "we".

since you’ve *decided* that you have morals strong enough to know that sleeping with a married man is wrong, i wonder why you haven’t noticed that he isn’t too concerned about his morals with his family.

THAT would bother me alot…the fact that a man can just turn his back on his commitment, his kids, his wife, his family and his life?

i guess when said that way – one could possibly assume that this man is an azz, completely unworthy of ANYONE’s love, especially that of his wife.

"We" are not in a crossroads…YOU are.

good luck with that.

You can type the word SEX on Y/A you know?

The key is you have not had sex YET! ! ! Even though you know you shouldn’t you probably will!

He has kids with multiple women and chances are your next and then another is after you too!

YOU need to get soem self respect and realize you deserve better!
AnswerDude | Feb 03, 2010

Google "emotional affair", where do you think that sexual affairs start??? If you didn’t feel you were both cheating you wouldn’t be asking the question and she would know all about this "friendship".

By the way, just because people didn’t answer your first question by agreeing with you, doesn’t mean that they are giving you abuse. Stop trying to justify your actions, they are wrong….
Penny | Feb 03, 2010

of for gods sake – grow up

they all say ‘my wife doesn’t understand me’ – if he wasn’t happy he wouldn’t have got married only 6 months ago – he’s just after your pants

stay away
Mystical Mamba | Feb 03, 2010

Not about sex, ya right, if given the chance you would both jump in the sack.
End it now, unless you want to break up a family.
But I know you wont, most women just care about what makes them happy.
Iggy | Feb 03, 2010

Lady you need to walk away. You did’nt even need to type that much as the reasons for not getting involved are all on the 2nd and 3rd lines. I’m not being a prude or a preacher just someone that knows that this won’t end well for you.
Andy | Feb 03, 2010

It doesn’t matter whether you have had sex or not, you are having an emotional affair with this man. You are not an item, rather, you are just another egg in the easter basket for him. He’s only been married six months and has a third child on the way with his wife, do you not already see that this man has no morals? You shouldn’t want to be the one that comes between this family, obviously he is such an A*s that some other woman will, because he is a man whore.

He says what you want to hear, and lies constantly to his wife in order to stay out of the house and spend time with you. How many other women do you think he has done this with on his wife? You need a reality check, and stop being so naive.
njoyabl | Feb 03, 2010

you need to stop looking at him with rose coloured specs. he sounds like a sh.. ar.. and come on you;re not a young girl of 16 he;s after one thing and all the talk about his wife not understanding him it;s like a fairy story grow up and get youself a life outside of work or you;ll end up with a baby on your own to look after, and he;ll still be with his wife .
wall n | Feb 03, 2010

Hmmm, so what do you think will happen when you go away for the weekend? Maybe I think differently than most women, but if there were NO kids involved, then I don’t think I’d feel bad although he’s still causing adultery. But He’s a "Married" man WITH kids and another on the way!

You need to walk away and leave him alone and cancel this weekend trip. Find yourself a man with no baggage or drama.
Good Luck!
Latina | Feb 03, 2010

Okay. let’s cut thru the BS and look at the situation as it truely IS…

1) he has a child out of wedlock with one woman.
2) he also has a wife and with her they have a five year old, a three year old, and a baby on the way.

3) You are messing with a marrried man who has kids with TWO different women.
4) You are being extremely disrespectful to this man’s wife, children and marriage.

5) He is softening you up for the ‘KILL’ my dear…not interested in bedding you? yeah, right. tell me another fairy story. And right now it’s emotional cheating but it’s just a matter of time before you two….

6) You are putting you infatuation with this player before the welfare of his children , his wife, his marriage…why are YOU more important than THEY ARE?

7) You are displaying a gross lack of morals, selfishness and self centeredness.

8) and you KNOW it’s wrong because, as you say, when you see his wife it’s a ‘kick in the stomach’.

So if there is nothing wrong with what you are doing….tell his wife. She has a right to know that you & her husband are alley-catting around each other on the sly. Of course HE won’t like that because most cheaters keep their infidelities hush hush from the wife….or try to. And understand this, he’s done this before with other women….there’s nothing ’special’ about you in his eyes except for the fact you are an easy mark and it’s just a matter of time when he charms his way into your bloomers, and you of course will justify the adultery.

..and his wife doesn’t understand him….if I had a dime for every man who used that pick-up line, I’d be a billionaire…jeesh I CAN’T believe a woman your age would fall for that….wow.

Disgusting. WHERE is your self respect.
Garnet Glitter | Feb 03, 2010

well if he feels this way then he can leave his wife and start a new with you. His kids will not suffer and it will be hard for him to go through but by the sounds of it you’lls upport him .. and as hard as this is if he don’t do it then what he says to you is just words!
he might have some truth to it but love is strong… Stronger than anything if you love someone as much as you state you both do. then things need to change or it’s just going to stay a feeling!
if it’s true it will not wait!

Major | Feb 03, 2010

Sorry but I think you are living in la la land. You are trying to convince yourself of how you feel instead of facing the reality of the whole situation. He is married……he has a wife and he has children and his wife is pregnant. He is encouraging you …..and you are falling for the drivil he is feeding you. He is self absorbed and enjoying the adulation right now. You are not in love you are in lust. Reality check.

Please spare me the she does not understand him. I wonder has he made any effort along the way to understand her. He after all has been rather busy understanding you who presumably understand him perfectly. He suffers from depression and anxiety which makes him vulnrable straight away vulnrable and needy.

As to the crossroads……some cliche. You are manufacturing romance and like I say living in la la land. This is all a recipe for complete disaster and a future posting about how it was all wonderful and now it’s gone pear shaped and you don’t know why.

Kind of disappointed and hurt, advice please?
Someone on here said this was a disturbing situation http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index; _ylt=AmnMd55F0unX6eqqyZEBwICZDH1G;_ylv=3 ?qid=20100209170805AAiS5XU Now I care about my cats with all my heart. But have a disabled person in our house (my grandma) that is hooked on IV and has all types of other medical equipment that the cats like to chew on and mess with. She cannot get up and is constantly being monitored. Maybe i exaggerated too much by saying "VERY dangerous" and sounded like a bad pet owner. I am sorry for that. But honestly, the area that my cats spend from 10 pm to 7 am and then 8 am to 1 pm is the size of a 2 bedroom apartment, literally. And they DO run so much that it is annoying sometimes (although cute) because they go wild. I am just hurt that someone would say something like this to me without even knowing what kind of a situation I am in.

Do you think what that person said, has truth to it? Because if it is true then I don’t know what else to do. They look happy to me. I already mentioned that in the former question. Yeah, I admit they only have three or four toys (there’s two 6 month old cats only) and I can probably bring in some more toys, which I will.
My grandma is in that area and it’s very huge. It’s hard to explain the landscape of my house. There is no room in that area. It’s just a big living room, dining room, kitchen, hall and all that good stuff. My grandma is in the living room because she likes it there and that’s where my parents put her so they can always keep an eye on her.

Your original question was lacking in details. You stated it was "VERY dangerous" without any elaboration. Without sufficient information, opinions can be stated that are not fact based.

Cats can do fine in much smaller areas than you provide. With a window to look out, many cats would be content to spend most of the time in the window watching the outside world.

Yes, you stated they start racing around once let out. But now you state they are six months old, and kittens of that age race around anyway.

When a cat purrs, they are receptive to human contact, and it often means they are content. They are giving you their answer, and that is the answer that counts.

If you have room, a cat tree can provide hours of fun and entertainment for kitties.
cat lover | Feb 09, 2010

If your grandmother is in her own room and doesn’t come out much, can’t the cats run around more? At 6 months they need a lot of exercise and being cooped up all the time is not a good thing. A few toys won’t do – they will get bored and get destructive.

Can you at least get a tall treehouse for them (6-7 feet tall) to put in your room? You need to figure out how to give them more freedom each day but not be around your grandmother.
Ocimom | Feb 09, 2010

Remember that cats like to go up so even with a small amount of space you can provide enrichment and exercise by adding vertical furniture (cat trees, etc). You can also add 10 minutes twice daily of playing with a laser. This way you can direct their attention and energy away from dangerous areas and towards safer portions of the house.

Good Luck!

Complicated life decision, please help me.?
Hello, lately I have been thinking over and over about something and couldn’t make a decision so if anyone can give me some advice it would be great. My english isn’t great so please forgive me for my bad writing.

Me and my girlfriend both live together. We both currently are in university and also work part-time to pay rent, insurance, ect. About 2 days ago, my girlfriend started talking about how it is stressing her out and how her grades isn’t as good as she wanted it. She suggested that one of us should work full-time while supporting the other until they finished university. I liked the idea, so I told her that I will work so that she can focus on her study.

But when I told one of my best friend about it, he told me that it is a very bad idea. He told me that his cousin once did that and in the end, the girl graduated and left for another man. So lately I have been thinking hard about it and still don’t know what I should do. My girlfriend and I only been together for about 1.5 years. To me, my girlfriend seem like a nice person; but I am terrible when it comes to knowing female.

That’s a horrible idea. Do not drop out of school. It is hard to get back into it after you do. If you guys were married, maybe it would be a different story. Cut back on expenses like eating out and stuff to help save up more money. Both of you should stay in school.
CLP | Feb 06, 2010

I would have to agree with your friend. Finish your degree. You’ll both be able to make much more money after its done anyways, plus if you two split you’ll have something to fall back on. There isn’t much worse than being dumped and having nothing but a high school diploma to work with… you’ll be back living with your parents in no time. Tell her how important it is to you to get a full education, and if she’s a real girlfriend she’ll accept it.
Pat | Feb 06, 2010

Both of you need to go to school. Take care of yourself before you are ready to take care of another person. Finish school. Because, it is true. You guys may not work out and then what.
Darla | Feb 06, 2010

I agree with your friend. Getting your degree is one of the most important things in your life right now.

Unfortunately many of us who went through college, or are going now, had to work part-time and it was not easy. I sympathize that your gf is feeling this stress, but I think you need to keep to the path as we like to say.

I agree that "Shine" should have been more represented. Geoffrey Rush (POTC, etc) won the Best Actor Oscar playing real-life pianist David Helfgott who suffered a nervous breakdown at his concert debut.

Dennis Quaid won critical praise for playing rocking pioneer Jerry Lee Lewis in "Great Balls of Fire." He’s dynamite!

How is tRNA able to differentiate on what amino acid to bind to? and where do the amino acids come from?
I understand that specific codons on mRNA code for specific tRNAs which essentially code for specific amino acids. My question is, how is the sequence of the 3′ end of the tRNA able to differentiate between the 20 amino acids? Or in other words how is tRNA able to bind to it’s respective amino acid with such specificity despite the small difference in the physical structure of its nucleotide sequence between other codons? Does it deal with molecular weight, charge of the tRNA, physical conformation?

I read into aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase as a coupling enzyme that aids in the amino acid recognition process and binding and that there are 20 of these types of enzymes for each corresponding amino acid; however, the same question would apply here again. How does the codon specify for specific amino acids, despite little physical differences between nucleotide sequences of the other codons?

Also, where are all these amino acids coming from? Are they free-floating in the ribosome? Or is there a repository for amino acids or are they synthesized in the ribosome itself?

Thank you
Fred, I see what you are saying about how the bonding in thermodynamically favorable so that answers that portion of the question. However, my question dealt more with the specifity of the codons for amino acid.

Each amino acid is coded by 3 bases, you can find out what they are but I dont know them. So your mRNA is laid out and you have a series of triplets of bases which each mean a specific amino acid as well as a bit which means stop coding here. Your amino acids (which for humans we get from the proteins we eat) are each attached to a triplet of RNA, in this case tRNA and the triplet is the "opposite" of the code for say proline. They will then arrange themselves onto the mRNA simply because it is thermodynamically favorable to satisfy the possible h-bonds to be made and then the protein is built piece by piece. From this chemical perspective it is then also very easy to see that mutations in gene tic replication are quite easy and happen often since a hydrogen bond is only worth about 15kcal/mol.

Should I text him? Guys and girls advice please!?
So there is this guy I am interested in at my school. The way we met was a funny story but we ALWAYS seem to run into each other at random places, like we ran into each other at Ralphs twice already and we have all of these coincidences between us. Sometimes we text, and usually I text him first… but he’s really friendly. & when I see him in the hallway he usually gives me a wink or touches my arm or says hi real quick or nods his head. I was at a bball game and his ex was sitting by me and she kept staring at me giving dirty looks, but I don’t know if it’s because she knows we talk or if he’s mentioned me? Anyways, I don’t know if I should text him, or just not. I want to get to know him but I don’t want to seem needy or desperate. Help! What should I do?

Thanks. (:
