i’m really good at making cute and cool outfits with almost anything, but your clothing is extremely boring. you need to go shopping. and NOT at hollister, american eagle, or abercrombie. those stores are far too boring and makes people look like everyone else. try H&M, pacsun, forever 21 ect.

You took the time to type ALL of this? Wow. Girls. haha. just kidding. hm, you have a lot of green, red, purple, just different colors. Try to match nicely. You have a lot of hollister and abercombie and AE. I think they all look the same. :\ Try getting dresses or skirts.
jumpplayred | Aug 19, 2009

Get a lot of accessories. You need less hoodies/sweatshirts. Shorts are a must-have!!! I don’t think think I can salvage one outfit. Throw it all away and go shopping for more girlier stuff. Seriously girl!!!

Try mine please-

Is Delphian a good name for a character in a novel?
I’m writing a story (or trying to) and I’ve came to a part of the story where I would need to introduce a new character. I’m toying with the name Delphian, I think its a great name but I want to make sure it’s easy to read and doesn’t distract from the tale.
Here is some background information about exactly what the character should be-
-Male
-Adventurous
-Loyal
-Deep/Complex
-Strong

Delphian means dark; mysterious; secretive.

What do you think? Is it too distracting? Perfect? All suggestions welcome.
Thank you :)

i like it. but you should still come up with a few other names in case you dont like the name after all!

Hetero, Homo and Bisexuality?
(Depending on the answers I get, I guess I’m either just an overtly curious teenager or a glutton for punishment.)

I usually stay out of most ‘wars’ like this, but there’s been many debates on sexuality centering around the idea that it’s in your genetics and not a personal choice at all.

I have to disagree. It may be true for some that they just weren’t interested in the opposite sex, but it doesn’t mean it’s in your genetics. If I disliked a certain genre of movie (ahem, old western movies), that doesn’t mean it’s in my genetics.

But that’s a frivolous explanation, so I’ll use myself as an example.

I like men. I like women. Hell, I’ll even love a brain in a jar as long as it can strike up a fun conversation. That is to say–I don’t base my liking of someone on sexual attraction. This was a personal choice, because while I understood that sex was a large part of relationships, I would be much more inclined to LOVE someone if they’re a good person. I dislike certain men and women so much that I’d never come near them with a ten foot pole even if they are hot. So, I had to think on whether I would be able to have a life-long relationship with someone that I loved, despite gender (or even trans-gender), and I said yes.

So, I ask… your view? Is sexual orientation in your genetics or is it a personal choice? The above is just an opinion. An opinion of a sex-depraved teenager who really finds no use in it besides being reproductive in an already over-populated world. (Despite partner decision, adoption for me, yeeeeeeeeah.)

(And please, if you’re going to hate on anyone just leave. You’re a sorry excuse for a human, you really should fix your grammar, and we’ve heard it all before. kthxbai.)

I have to agree that it is a hot debate, but this kind of fits into the topic of basic psychology. There are many views to look at any behavior. One of these views is the biological perspective which basically means "its in the genes." So sometimes it seems absurd to say that a behavior is influence by genetics, but it is possible. So like it is possible that one’s biological structure can very easily influence someone’s orientation. And just to put the point out there, it is actually possible to be genetically coded to like a specific genre of movie. (Goes into that a little more here … http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behavioral_ neuroscience )

And to answer the second part of the question is it a personal choice? I dont think it is. I really did not choose at all to be gay and a lot of people will be the same way. Just having to admit to yourself and even to others can be a painful process that i dont think anybody should have to endure. Sure, every case is different so it might be easier for some, but that doesnt mean that the one’s who had it harder got a chance to choose. So i dont believe it is a choice either.

But to add a third part to it, is it what your exposed to as a child that can influence it. I honestly believe that there can be some truth behind that. Its not a choice to be raised in a particular way, so you cant fault someone for it either. But you can notice some correlation between different people that recognize themselves as a particular orientation and what they were exposed to as a child. We do learn the most as a child, after all.

So to sum it all up, what is MY opinion? ummm…i dont know. ^_^ Im gay and thats ok with me. I dont care how i got here. haha.

I hope this helped. feel free to ask me any questions.

lol you’re weird.. you need to be dispossed of on an island.. gtfo out go to cali and have your gay parade
MurtM | Feb 09, 2010

Who you "like" has little to do with sexual attraction in your example. When it comes to preferring one gender over the other in terms of sexual attraction, I would say it’s mostly genetics, with some elements of environment and choice. But that’s just my opinion.
Stephen L | Feb 09, 2010

In high school, I knew a guy who was gay. He was raised Christian and was afraid that he was going to hell because of it. He denied it for years, and when he finally realized he couldn’t fight it anymore, he felt so ashamed that he tried to kill himself. He went into a mental institution for a year. When he finally got out, he was much happier and healthier because he could finally quit lying to himself and others. In some people it is a choice, but I firmly believe that others have no choice. They are what they are. Why would someone choose the life that would put them through so much hell like my friend went through?
Spex | Feb 09, 2010

My sexual orientation? I couldn’t really say it was my choice OR in my genetics. Growing up around a lot of Caribbeans I learnt that being gay is NOT acceptable at all! Stuff like Bun Out Da Chi Chi (Burn the gays) and Boom Bye Bye has scared me into me being the way I am (Straight). I don’t have a problem with gays (got a lesbian friend. She’s the best!) but I don’t think I could ever have those sort of feelings for another woman.
Soy Boricua Como El Coqui | Feb 09, 2010

I believe to an extent, it’s not a choice. There are so many chemicals and such that cause you to feel love that to think you can control it is absured. Whether you act on it or not, though, is a choice.
Jonathan | Feb 09, 2010

Sexual orientation depends on a person’s genetics and environmental influences. This brings up the arguement of nature vs. nurture. Was it the child’s genetics that influences his orientation, or was it the environmental (social) surroundings? The answer to this is: both. How the child was conditioned during his/her sensitive period by his surroundings (i.e. parents, classmates), and his genetics are all implicated. It’s relatively difficult to draw the line between the two.
V | Feb 09, 2010

It isn’t a choice for me; I’m only attracted to men. I could have a very close emotional relationship with a woman, but I would never want to sleep with her. Are you sexually attracted to boys or girls? That forms the basis of your sexuality. Friendships can be very strong but sex is what separates the two.
Rob | Feb 09, 2010

I don’t know if it’s genetic or personal preference, but liking and willing to have sex with someone is completely different! I like men and women… but NOT in a sexual way. I would never in a million years sleep with a woman. That’s by choice or genetic, either way it will never happen. You’re example is just infantile.
Sophie | Feb 09, 2010

I used to think that homosexuality was a choice. I thought that gay people made their decisions to be the way they were. I was raised very strict Southern Baptist and was told from the first time I knew what gay was that they were wrong and disgusting. I didnt really date in high school but I blamed it on waiting for the "right one". Then I met an amazing woman and fell head over heels for her. I tried for months to deny it; say that it was just her and that I wasnt a lesbian. I cried for weeks because I didnt want to be a lesbian. I eventually admitted to myself that I was a lesbian and that I was ok with that. Ive only come out to certain friends and family because when my family finds out they will disown me completely.

Now you tell me what in my childhood wouldve conditioned me to be gay? Where was my choice? If I wouldve had a choice I wouldve chosen no. Not to say that Im not happy being a lesbian I just wouldve taken the easiest path. Sexual orientation is NOT a choice.
newmetj | Feb 09, 2010

I’m bisexual. Both of my parents are straight, and so were their parents. This would, in theory, mean that my sexuality is a "mutation". And I do not believe that at all because I have pride in who and what I am, so I think it’s more to do with personal choice.

Me and my best friend always argue about this. He’s full-on gay, and extremely camp. It was always a problem for him, growing up in a Catholic family. His religion meant that homosexuality was a sin, and now he therefore cannot bring himself to believe in any God. It wasn’t a choice for him, though. For as long as I can remember, he’s wanted to wear make-up, coach dancing and he is completely repulsed by the idea of being anything more than friends with a girl. His family are homophobic, and completely ashamed of him. He says himself that if it was personal choice, he’d keep them happy- but also that he is what he is and he’ll never hide it.

It’s a tricky one…

Oh, and to the guy who posted the first comment?

ITunes: Is it possible to have songs in a playlist but not in your library?
since i like listening to "Hamish and Andy"(Comedy Talk Show) i bought their cd which has around 80 clips of their best moments on their radio talk show. So is it possible to have the "songs" only in a playlist and not in my library with my other songs??

I have tried unchecking the "song" in the library so that it doesn’t sync to my iphone but that also unchecks the "song" in the playlist.

thanks

nope. your library contains all audio tracks in iTunes.
and yeah, if you uncheck the song in the library (or do anything else to it) it’ll do it to it in the playlist.

no u can’t do that… that’s why u make a playlist in the first place..but u can tell ur iphone to not sync those to it tho.. that’s what u want..but ur gonna have to manually manage ur music… there u can check which playlists get synced or not… or u can sync entire library then after select at the main iphone display area where it has the general info of ur iphone "sync checked songs only" then uncheck ur items u dont want on ur iphone.

Outbreak
Outbreak (1995)

IMDB rating: 6.40

Plot: A virus similar to Ebola & Lassa is discovered in Africa in 1969. 25 years later, it resurfaces – and Col. Sam Daniels of the U.S. Army is sent in to investigate it. When he returns he warns his boss, Brigadier-Gen. Ford, of the lethal nature of the virus and wants to put out an alert. Ford, who had been one of the men who first dealt with the virus, insists the virus is contained and unlikely to show up in the U.S. What neither man knows is that the host – a monkey – has been brought into the U.S. by freighter. Through an under-the-table bribe, a young man gets the monkey out of the animal-testing lab it was bound for. Soon, the man is infected – and Col. Daniels’ ex-wife, Dr. Keough – now with the CDC – is called into Boston when the young man is brought to a hospital in critical condition. Dr. Keough discovers that the man has died from the virus, and at the same time – on the other side of the country – a new outbreak is starting in a little California town. A quarantine is set up to stop the virus from spreading, while Ford’s boss, the sinister Major-Gen. McClintock, has his own agenda in mind – to harness this lethal bug for use as a bioweapon. With the President about to order a fuel-air bomb to be dropped on the little town to stop the outbreak, Daniels must find a way to unravel McClintock’s sinister plan…

Is Cisco Systems a great investment this month (Feb & Mar 2010)?
I’ve been following world financial news very closely for the past several months and was wondering if Cisco Systems (CSCO) is one of the solid stocks to buy right now, considering their recent outbreak. It seems like they’ll be at the forefront of the approaching economic surge coming out of the recession. Thoughts?

Movement of stocks depends on quarterly results and general market sentiment.

Intel and Microsoft also had great quarterly numbers, but have sold off. This shows the market sentiment is a downward direction. Cisco right now would be great if you have the patience to hold on to it for 2-3 years. This stock could easily drop 20% from here due to the broader market, can you handle a 20% loss in a week?

If you buy it, hope you got the stomach for an interesting ride.

ENGLISH SENTENCES PLEASE HELPPPPPPP!?
is my order of the following sentences correct; yes, no? what is the correct answer if no.

1. Lady Macduff Character analysis.

2. Lady macduff is a good woman who loves her husband and family.

3. When her husband flees Scotland without a word to her, she does not know what to think.

4. Rather, her one scene indicates distress and confusion, not certainty of Macduff’s motives. But all confusion is dispersed, of course, when the murders enter.

5. "Where is your husband?" demands one of the murderers as he enters.

6. "I hope in no place so unsanctifie,/ where such as thou may’st find him," replies Lady Macduff without a thought for her life.

7. She shows fierce loyalty to her husband and makes no attempt to save her own life at his expense.

8. macduff seems to behave as the traitor he is accused of being.

9. Yet, although she acuses him of not loving his family and of being a traitor, prattling tone she uses with her son indicates that she does not quiet believe what she says.

10. in her distress and confusion, in her tenderness for her son, in her fierce loyalty to her husband Lady Macduff symbolizes the good and innocent people who are mindlessly slaughtered by the tyrant Macbeth.

is the order correct from 1-9, if not what is the correct order, PLEASE AND THANK YOU :)

Lady Macduff, unlike Lady Macbeth, is a strong, honest, loving wife and mother. We also see a close relationship with her son as she tells him that his father is dead (4.2.35). We discover that she really does not believe her husband is a traitor even though she discusses that possibility with her son. The son seems old beyond his years in their talk about honest men and the lack thereof,"…there are liars and swearers enough to beat the honest men…"(4.2.62-64). We see the depth of her devotion to her husband when Lady Macduff is asked by the murderers where her husband is and she responds,"….in no place so unsanctified such as thou mayst find him" (4.2.90-91).She is alo extremely courageous and wise. When the Messenger advises her to flee, she questions: To where? In this world the good suffer while evil flourishes. She is slain with her son. I would comment that your ordering is insightful.

Looking for a good IWB Gun Holster?
Currently looking at the Minotaur and CrossBreed Holsters for my XD40 Sub. Is there any other nice holsters out there besides those two? I’ve also heard that the Minotaur will wear on the finish of your gun, can anyone confirm this? Thanks for the help
Also Can anymore recommend a good Cheap Gun Belt?

Gun Belts : http://www.thebeltman.net/ (great products at a great price)

The MTAC from Comp-Tac and the CrossBreed Supertuck are great holsters. All holsters will over time rub the finish on your gun, it doesn’t matter if it is made of kydex or leather.

I also carry a holster from http://www.hbeleatherworks.com/ I have the Com3 model for my 1911. It works pretty good, but I think I like my crossBreed supertuck better.

I would also check out leather holsters by Milt Sparks, Mitch Rosin, HBE

Look at Vega holsters. They’re slick.
Passanger57 | Jan 28, 2010

I have the CrossBreed SuperTuck. My XD service pistol will fit. I am 5′ 9" at 180, 34" waist. The Supertuck is too large for wear all day long. It is made for a bigger body size. I should have ordered the Mini-Tuck.
Good holster. It fits my XD-40, PT-111, and PT-945. It is versatile-just too big for me. You also need to wear an undershirt with these holsters. They are rough on bare skin.

Two years go by and Sheriff and Tony are living their lives peacefully in The Big Apple when Lewis’ lawyer tells them the news: three years each if they both go, six years if one goes, Lewis’ death if neither go. Although they both do not want Lewis to die, they do not know him well enough to really want to sacrifice three years of their life to a Third-World prison. “Return to Paradise” watches Sheriff and Tony as they struggle to decide in the short period of time.

What do you understand from these verses (the wisdom)?
[29:56]
O My servants who believe! My earth is indeed vast. So worship [only] Me.

[29:57]
Every soul shall taste death. Then to Us you shall be returned.

[29:58]
And those who believe and perform righteous deeds, We shall surely lodge them in lofty abodes of Paradise, underneath which rivers flow, to abide in them
