IMDB rating: 4.10 Plot: Long time inmate Twitch (Kurupt) gets himself transfered to a tougher prison than the re-opened Alcatraz. He claims it’s to be closer to his lady but his real motives are a bit more grandiose. There he crosses paths with Burke (Bill Goldberg) a bulky prisoner who can take care of himself. Twitch, despite being less muscular, is just as mouthy and is pretty much the same. But there is a gang war brewing between the black and hispanic inmates… |

internal stitch from almost 2 months ago possibly not dissolved and coming out?
I had a laceration on my hand that required 21 stitches to patch up. 14 were regular stitches, 4 were cushion stitches or pillow stitches, and 3 were internal. I was told the internal ones dissolve in about a month. It has been at least 6 weeks, I think more like 7, and I had just pulled either a whole stitch or part of a stitch out last night. It healed up great, no infection, doctor told me i was doing a perfect job at tending to it and keeping it covered. I noticed some dry skin around the end that was the deepest at the edge of the scar, and was pulling off dead skin, when to my suprise I found that the one piece of dead skin had something attatched to it. Only after getting it out and gawking at it did i realize it was one of the internal stitches, because it was white and wet. I’ve been having pain around the scar the past week or so… I know I cut deep, cuz i nicked an artery and cut through some nerves, so i assumed the pain was due to that… but after pulling that first stitch out, I noticed there might be a small white speck at the center of the most painful spot, which is also at the deepest end where the internal stitches were used, and I think that there might be another undissolved stitch there that my body is rejecting. I had 2 plates and 13 screws about 2 years ago in my right arm, and they had to come out about 6 months after they were put in because my body was rejecting the hardware. After getting it out, the doctor was suprised to find the one plate was actually broken in half, and a screw was embedded in the bone. I dont know if this is relevant but I figured i’d mention it to be safe. Anyway, has anybody else ever had a problem like with internal stitches not dissolving in a month’s time and then having your skin literally push them out? because i think that is what is happening with this other site of pain along my scar. the small white speck that i believe to be the end of a stitch isn’t close enough to the surface to pull it out with a tweezers yet (i’ve tried, and won’t dig my skin open to find out because that would hurt more than it hurts if i leave it be). I know nothing terrible is going to happen, but i just never heard of anything like this and would feel better if i knew it wasn’t unheard of. The first stitch that came out yesterday really shocked me, and it did kinda fall apart then after i pulled it out of my hand, but I would feel better knowing that this second spot is just a stitch coming out, as it isn’t the burning pain of nerves regrowing, and is actually quite a painful little bugger. Going back to the doctor isn’t an option, I have no health insurance… and honestly, other than giving me an answer, a doctor couldn’t be of any real help. they wouldn’t cut it out of my hand, as i know skin can rid itsself of foreign objects like this on its own, and it would be more work to cut out then to let it be pushed out. Any advice or similar stories, or even just a confirmation that this isn’t a freak occurance would be welcomed. thanks!
I just had a doctor pull one out that was sticking out of my stomach. The surgery that I had was about 5 years ago…lol. I also have another one under the skin that you can see. As long as it isn’t red, swollen, or warm I wouldn’t worry about it.
